Richard Lookinghawk

The practice manager at Carmel Valley Veterinary Hospital and Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital, Richard Lookinghawk is a native of the Carmel Valley area and has worked in the animal care field since 1993. Richard enjoys the small, community atmosphere at the hospital and likes interacting with clients and their pets. Richard loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking and biking on local trails or kayaking when he's not at work. He shares his home with his wife Jesika and their two cats, Lizard and Cocosita.

Jessika Lookinghawk

Jesika Lookinghawk is the lead veterinary technician at Carmel Valley Veterinary Hospital. A native of San Juan Bautista, Jesika has recently passed the state boards to obtain her registered veterinary technician license. At home, Jesika usually can be found hanging out with her young son (born in May of 2010), her husband Richard and their cats, Cocosita and Lizard. Her hobbies include hiking, biking, reading and watching movies.

Denise Smith

Technician Denise Smith hails from Monterey and has worked in the animal care field since 1999. She loves animals and likes working in the hospital's caring environment. Denise shares her home with three dogs—Lupa, Autumn and Bronco—and cats Lil' T Rex, Mad Max, Kong, T.J. and Bagherra. In her spare time, Denise enjoys hiking, camping and fishing.

Diane Rivera

A veterinary assistant at Carmel Valley Veterinary Hospital since 1997, Diane Rivera originally hails from Chicago. Diane enjoys the welcoming atmosphere of the hospital and likes working with the caring staff. Diane shares her home with four cats named Trouble, Opie, Sam and Socks. When she's not at work, Diane can be found camping and hiking or hanging out with her friends and going to the movies.

Joan Marion

Kennel manager Joan Marion has been part of the Carmel Valley Veterinary Hospital staff since 2003. A native of Monterey, Joan has more than three decades experience in the animal care field. She enjoys working with clients and their pets. Joan's four-legged family members include Foggy and Charlie, a pair of Italian Greyhounds; Daisy, a Border Collie mix; and 13 cats. Outside the hospital, Joan can be found outside, gardening, hiking, fishing and reading.

Stephanie Rudisill

A receptionist at Carmel Valley Veterinary Hospital since January 2009, Stephanie Rudisill loves working with the friendly veterinarians and staff and enjoys meeting the new pets that come into the hospital each day. Stephanie worked at the "Pets Rule!" show at Sea World and trained dogs, cats, pigs and birds. She shares her home with a number of pets, including eight cats and two dogs. Stephanie's hobbies include dancing, working out, going to the movies, and spending time with her fiance.
